On Friday March 8th, 2024, after a several month-long investigation, officers with the McDowell County Drug Enforcement Team conducted a narcotics search warrant at 487 West Henderson Street, in Marion. The team is a joint effort between the Marion Police Department and the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office. As a result of the search warrant, officers located Jeremy Patrick Conner and Brittany Ann Ledford inside the home. A search of the home did reveal narcotics which were seized. As a result of this investigation, the following charges were issued:
Brittany Ann Ledford, DOB 5/25/1999 W/F
Felony Possession of Sch. I Controlled Substance
Ledford was placed in the custody of the McDowell County Jail under a $10,000 bond. At the time of this release Ledford had posted bond and was released and her first court appearance is scheduled for today, Monday March 11, 2024.
Jeremy Patrick Conner, DOB 8/29/1985 W/M
Felony Possession of Methamphetamine
Felony Possession of Sch. I Controlled Substance
Felony Maintaining in a Dwelling
Felony Possession with Intent Manufacture Sell and Deliver
Connor was also placed in the custody of the McDowell County Jail under a $30,000. At the time of this release Connor had also posted bond and was released. His first court appearance is scheduled for today, Monday March 11, 2024.
This was a very thorough investigation and Chief Allen Lawrence would like to thank the officers that conducted the investigation for their hard work. The Marion Police would also like to remind anyone that may have criminal activity, especially drug activity, going on in their neighborhood to contact law enforcement with details. Policing is a partnership and we need the community’s help in continuing to attack these issues.
