This is a message from the Fairfield Office of Emergency Management:
3/11/24 - 5pm -
The Passaic River at Pine Brook is expected to crest tonight at 20.1 feet. Based on this information, we anticipate little to no additional flooding to occur. Every flooding event is different, and we try to provide the best information we can to the community during these times.
Horseneck Road remains open, however there is water across the roadway closer to the Montville Border. Please use caution when driving through this area.
Commerce Road has water in the area of #8 and again near #18. This water is higher and it is recommended that SUV's and trucks only drive through.
Stewart Place at Commerce Road is also high with the same recommendation, SUV and trucks only.
Camp Lane has flooding at this time, as does Ray Place near the pumphouse.
As a reminder, please use caution travelling on wet roadways. When in doubt, turn around.
