Winter Weather Advisory until 04:00PM Tuesday

* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 10 to 22 inches.

* WHERE...Girdwood to Summit Lake, including Turnagain Pass and Portage.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM AKDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Heavy snowfall intensity could result in near whiteout conditions at times.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Several rounds of heavy snow showers are expected to continue through Tuesday afternoon. The next round of heavy snow is expected this evening with the second early Tuesday morning. Snowfall rates during these times could approach 2 inches of snow per hour, especially near Portage and Turnagain Pass. Light to moderate snow is also expected along the remainder of the Seward Highway south to Seward with 5 to 10 inches of snow possible.
