...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE FRIDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches. For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 10 to 20 inches with locally higher amounts up to 2 feet possible. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Southwest San Juan Mountains.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, from midnight tonight to midnight MDT Wednesday night. For the Winter Storm Watch, from Thursday afternoon through late Friday night.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Travel could become very difficult Thursday afternoon through late Friday night. A detailed map of the snowfall can be found at: www.weather.gov/gjt/winter.
