* WHAT...For the Wind Advisory, sustained west winds 20 to 30 mph, with gusts near 50 mph. For the High Wind Warning, sustained north winds 35 to 45 mph, with gusts near 65 mph expected.
* WHERE...Mojave Desert Slopes.
* WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, until 8 AM PDT this morning. For the High Wind Warning, from 11 PM PDT this evening until 11 AM PDT Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down tree branches and power lines. Power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Highways affected include, but are not limited to Highway 14, Highway 58, Highway 178, and U.S. Highway 395.
* AFFECTED AREAS: MOJAVE DESERT SLOPES

Secure outdoor items, such as patio furniture, sports equipment, and trash cans prior to the onset of high winds. Even the most common objects become dangerous projectiles when picked up and carried by high winds.
