March 7, 2024
  • Grand Theft Vehicle:
1031 Central Avenue (Advantage Ford). The business erroneously reported a silver 2020 Lincoln Aviator LIC 8MAG134 as stolen. The vehicle was later stopped by a neighboring Sheriff unit, and it was discovered the dealer had loaned the vehicle out to the driver. Driver released with the vehicle at dealer’s request. 
 
March 8, 2024
  • Grand Theft Vehicle:
2300 Block of Sesmas Street. Between March 7, 2024 11 PM and March 8, 2024 11 AM, suspect(s) unknown stole the victim's parked vehicle, a silver 2017 Hyundai Sonata. No surveillance video is available.
 
March 9, 2024
  • Robbery (Armed):
1302 Duarte Road (Duarte Liquor). On March 9, 2024 at 7:56 PM, suspects unknown, two male hispanic adults, one wearing a white and blue hooded jacket, light colored pants, dark gloves, and a blue face mask, the second wearing a black hooded sweater with a large logo on the front, dark colored pants, and red gloves, walked into the business, approached the store clerk while pointing a silver handgun at him, and demanded the money from the register. Fearing for his life, the clerk gave the money to the suspects. The suspects fled the location on foot east on Duarte Road and out of view. The loss was approximately $2,000. Surveillance video is available.
 
  • Grand Theft Vehicle:
1800 Block of Huntington Drive. Between March 8, 2024 11 PM and March 9, 2024 7 AM, suspect(s) unknown stole the victim's parked vehicle, a black 2015 Kia Optima. No surveillance video is available.

  • Avoid being scammed - Always think before you click on a link or file of unknown origin.  Don’t feel pressured by any emails.  Check the source of the message. Never reply to emails that ask you to verify your information or confirm your user ID or password.
