From Slate Belt Regional Police Chief:  On Wednesday, March 13, 2024 the Easton Police Department ERT (Emergency Response Team) conducted a training exercise at a privately owned vacant residence, located at 410 South Main Street.  The Slate Belt Regional Police Department is supportive of other Police Departments conducting operational trainings, but understand that this may have alarmed community members, and Borough Officials, who were unaware that this was occurring.  Future trainings, of this nature, will prompt advance notice to the community, and Borough Officials, to avoid these training sites during a specified date, and time.
