INCIDENT: VC 2800.2: Failure to Yield (Felony)
LOCATION: Poppy/ Lilac Road, Adelanto
SUSPECT: Ernest Reveles, 49-years-old, resident of Oak Hills
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 10:47 p.m., Deputy Jacob Rowley attempted to stop a black Acura for California Vehicle Code Violations.
The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Ernest Reveles, failed to yield and led deputies on a pursuit for approximately 3 miles. During the pursuit, Reveles drove with complete disregard for public safety, driving in opposing lanes, at unsafe speeds, and not stopping at controlled intersections. Reveles turned on a dirt road and got his vehicle stuck on a sand berm. Reveles exited his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot but was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit.
Ernest Reveles was booked at High Desert Detention Center for failure to yield. He is currently being held in lieu of $100,000.00 bail.
