Full Notification

On March 14, 2024, at approximately 6:30 a.m., Gilroy Police and Fire Department personnel responded to report of a fire in an alleyway on the 7200 block of Rosanna Street. Officers arrived on scene and found a recreational vehicle and an adjacent structure engulfed by fire to the rear of a residence.  Some of the nearby residents were evacuated as a safety precaution. The fire was extinguished by the Gilroy Fire Department. 
 
Gilroy Police Detectives responded to conduct the investigation and discovered the remains of a deceased male inside the recreational vehicle. The identify of the deceased has not yet been confirmed. Detectives are working along with arson investigators to determine the circumstances leading the to fire.
