ATTENTION RESIDENTS,
 
The City of East Chicago - Sanitary District will begin its Annual CSO Sewer Cleaning 2024 of the 500 block of  Penhryn Pl., Monday, March 18, and Tuesday, March 19. This cleaning process may take 24 to 48 hours weather permitting.
 
During the sewer cleaning process, you may encounter possible sewer backups and odor in your homes due to the high-pressure cleaning system the city’s Freightliner Vactor truck puts out.  Therefore, as a precaution, we recommend you cover all floor drains, sinks, showers, and toilets throughout your home to avoid these issues.
