PNG to close 100 E. Council St. to thru traffic 
A Piedmont Natural Gas contractor will close the 100 block of E. Council St. to thru traffic, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., daily, except days when working in the alley or parking lot, beginning Monday, March 18. The project is expected to take five to six weeks to complete. E. Council St. residents and businesses will be permitted to access the road.
