2. 2 COUNTS CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 7th DEGREE (A- MISDEMEANOR)
ARRAIGNMENT/BAIL STATUS: Millan was processed at Amsterdam Police headquarters where he then was arraigned in Amsterdam City Court. He was released on his own recognizance to appear at a later date.
INCIDENT NARRATIVE: Pursuant to an active and ongoing investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics occurring within the City of Amsterdam. The Amsterdam Police department arrested Michael A. Millan on Teller Street on March 14th, 2024. Millan was wanted on pending charges after selling controlled substances to police sources during the investigation which spanned over a series of months. During the course of the arrest Millan was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine and US currency. The Amsterdam Police Department was assisted by the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office in this investigation.
While there is probable cause for this arrest, all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
