Albany St. Patrick’s Day Parade, 2PM – 4PM

Parade Route:
2:00 p.m. Start of Parade
The parade will require the following road closures: Central Avenue from Quail Street east to Washington Avenue; Washington Avenue from Central Avenue east to Washington Avenue/Eagle Street/State Street; State Street from Washington Avenue/Eagle Street east to Broadway. In addition, ALL cross streets along the parade route will be closed in preparation for parade kick off. This will include Eagle Street as well as N&S Pearl Streets from Pine Street to Hudson Avenue.

North Albany Limerick Parade – 11:30AM -1PM
The North Albany Limerick Parade route:
Start Time: 11:30AM – N. First Street west of N. Pearl Street at the North Albany American Legion Post; parade will proceed east to N. Pearl Street, then south of N. Pearl Street to Emmett Street; east on Emmett St to Broadway; North on Broadway to Wolfert Avenue in the Village of Menands; back south on S. Pearl Street to N. First Street
Road Closures:
- N. First Street between Broadway and Van Rensselaer Ave
- N. Pearl Street between Wolfert Ave and Emmett St
- Broadway between Wolfert Ave and Emmett St
- N. Second Street, eastbound at Broadway & eastbound and westbound at N. Pearl St
- N. Third Street, eastbound at Broadway & eastbound and westbound at N. Pearl St
- Lawn Avenue, westbound at Broadway & eastbound and westbound at N. Pearl St
- Bonheim Street, eastbound at Broadway & eastbound and westbound at N. Pearl St
- Lindbergh Avenue, eastbound at Broadway & eastbound and westbound at N. Pearl St

Road Closures:
- Parade Staging & Lineup:
- Starting at 12:00PM (Noon) Central Avenue between Quail Street and Lexington Avenue will be closed for parade lineup.
- 1:00PM The Parade Route will be closed to ALL Traffic. The entire parade route will be closed allowing APD to secure the route and assure step off at 2PM.
Parade Route:
2:00 p.m. Start of Parade
- Central Avenue starting at Lexington Avenue, parade will proceed east on Central Avenue to Washington Avenue; then east on Washington Avenue to State Street; east on State Street and end approximately opposite James Street.
The parade will require the following road closures: Central Avenue from Quail Street east to Washington Avenue; Washington Avenue from Central Avenue east to Washington Avenue/Eagle Street/State Street; State Street from Washington Avenue/Eagle Street east to Broadway. - Lexington Avenue, east and west sides from Bradford St to Sherman St; 6AM-4PM (parade start area)
- Washington Ave, north side from Dove St to S. Swan St; 6AM-4PM (buses)
- Eagle Street, east side from State St to Pine St; 6AM – 4PM (parade route)
- State Street, North and South sides from Lark St east 3 spaces on each side 6AM-4PM (turn radius for large class vehicles)
- State Street, North and South sides from S. Swan St east to Plaza Road east of Legislative Office Building 6AM-4PM (buses)
- State Street, south side from Eagle Street to Broadway; 6AM -4PM (parade route)
- State Street, North side from Pearl St to Broadway; 6AM - 4PM (parade end area)
- Broadway, East and West sides from Pine Street to Hudson Avenue, 6AM – 4PM (congestion mitigation area)
- Green Street both sides from State St to Madison Avenue, 6AM-4PM (parade disbursement route)
- Dallius Street, both sides from Hudson Ave to Division St, 6AM-4PM (parade disbursement area)
- S. Swan Street, east side from Madison Ave to Washington Ave 6AM-4PM (upper roadway)
