VERY HIGH FIRE DANGER TODAY

GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS AT 15-25MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35MPH, DRY SURFACE VEGETATION, WILL LEAD TO A VERY HIGH FIRE DANGER TODAY OVER MUCH OF CENTRAL IOWA.  MIDDAY  INTO THE EARLY EVENING.
BEWARE: ANY FIRES THAT IGNIGHT WILL SPREAD RAPIDLY.
BURNING IS DISCOURAGED UNDER THESE CONDITIONS.  ALSO, TAKE CARE TO PREVENT THE START OF ACCIDENTAL FIRES WHEN SMOKING OR OPERATING VEHICLES AROUND DRY VEGETATION.
