Active Threat Training Scheduled at Parker High School

The Janesville Police Department, in collaboration with the School District of Janesville, will conduct a multi-agency Active Threat training on Tuesday, March 19th, and Wednesday, March 20th, 2024.  The training will take place from 5:00 AM until 5:00 PM each day at Parker High School, located at 3125 Mineral Point Ave, Janesville, WI. 
 
Utilizing best practice concepts developed at the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) Center at Texas State University, officers under the guidance of Janesville Police Department ALERRT instructors will undergo scenario-based training simulations.  The goal of the training is to enhance area law enforcement preparedness and response to active threat response in our community.
