On March 17, 2024, at 6:47 PM, Middleton Police were dispatched to the area of the Bristled Boar Bar in reference to an intoxicated person who got into their vehicle and drove away. An officer arrived on scene and began checking the area. The officer located the suspect vehicle at the residence of the registered owner of the vehicle. The officer then made contact with a person who was lying on the ground nearby.
The driver was identified as Jennifer C. Lee, age 42, of Middleton. The officer noted a strong odor of intoxicants coming from Lee’s breath, she had bloodshot glassy eyes, she was unstable on her feet, and her speech was slurred.
Following field sobriety testing, Lee was arrested for 7th offense operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (OWI), a felony. A blood search warrant was required and results are pending. Lee has an .02 restriction related to her previous OWI offenses.
Lee was booked into the Dane County Jail for the felony OWI.
