Chevron CWS Level 1 Notification - Flaring - 3/18/2024 
At 3:41pm today, 3/18/2024, Chevron issued a CWS Level 1 Notification due to flaring at the Richmond refinery. Chevron has confirmed there are no offsite releases and is currently investigating the cause of the issue.
Based on Contra Costa Health's 3-tier hazmat severity system, CWS Level 1 notifications have no public health impacts and require no action from the community.
