Michigan Severe Weather Awareness Week
Gov. Whitmer has declared March 17-23 as Michigan's Severe Weather Awareness Week and is calling on residents to act by participating in a voluntary statewide drill at 1 pm today, March 20. Last August, seven tornadoes touched down in Michigan in just one day and the National Weather Service reports that Michigan averages 15 tornadoes each year. Please take this time to speak with family and co-workers on how you can be safe during extreme weather.
