Special Weather Statement until 07:15PM
Gusty winds along with rain and snow showers will continue to affect the area through early this evening. There will also be the continuing threat of a few heavier snow squalls which could quickly reduce visibility to near zero in blowing snow making travel dangerous. The highest threat for these squalls will be for areas near and north of the I-80 corridor. In addition, squalls could bring winds gusting over 50 mph adding to further travel challenges. Be alert for rapidly changing conditions. If you are traveling today and receive a Snow Squall Warning, use extra caution, reduce speed, and leave extra space between you and the vehicle in front of you. Be alert for sudden whiteout conditions and get off on the nearest exit or avoid travel until the squall passes.
