* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches. Highest snowfall totals in that range will occur near and north of Interstate 96.
* WHERE...Portions of central, south central, southwest and west central Michigan.
* WHEN...From 3 AM Friday to midnight EDT Friday night.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will spread into Western Lower Michigan overnight and continue through the day on Friday before ending Friday evening. The heaviest snow will fall on an axis from near Muskegon and Grand Haven northeast to Mount Pleasant and Alma. 4 to 7 inches will fall in that swath. Slightly lower totals are expected in the remainder of the area up towards U.S. 10 and for areas south of Interstate 96. Snow covered and slippery roads will be likely at times as air temperatures will be near and below 32 degrees during the time of the snow.
