There will be widespread moderate to heavy 1-3+ inches of rain beginning Friday night (3/22) through Saturday (3/23).

• There will be roadway flooding, especially in urbanized, poor drainage, and low lying areas. There is a slight risk for excessive rainfall leading to flooding.
• The rainfall could lead to some river and stream flooding. There is a 20-30% risk that the Rancocas Creek could reach minor flood stage this weekend.
• Strong northerly winds are forecasted to develop late Saturday night. Peak wind gusts will be near 36-45 mph and may result in tree damage leading to isolated power outages.
• Some spotty minor tidal flooding may occur around the times of high tides this weekend. This will be made worse with excessive rainfall runoff near total waterways and tributaries

If you have to be out on Saturday, remember:

• Check the weather and your windshield wipers before heading out. 
• Turn on headlights whenever windshield wipers are on.
• Reduce your speed and increase your following distance.
• Watch for downed trees and wires. Never touch a power wire, even if you believe it is not energized. 
• If you come across standing water while driving, turn around, don't drown! Find another way around. It is never safe to drive through standing water.

• Watch, listen, or check weather reports for changing conditions. 
• Keep devices charged in case of power outages.
