Yesterday morning, Ontario PD officers responded to an assault at a local gas station. Two male suspects assaulted the victim in an unprovoked attack then fled the scene. Using video surveillance, Officers were able to get a license plate from the suspect vehicle. A member of the Real-Time Information Center (RTIC), the Department’s newest innovative unit, entered the plate information into a database. Approximately an hour later, an officer on proactive patrol received an alert from the newly installed Axon Dash camera systems in his patrol unit that the suspect vehicle was nearby. Officers quickly located the vehicle and took both suspects into custody, without incident.

The suspects were positively identified as Larrion Hunter, 26, and Jerrit Hunter, 27, from Eastvale. Both suspects were booked at West Valley Detention Center for felony battery causing serious injury.
