N.J. weather: Flood watch issued for entire state as coastal storm targets state with soaking rain.

Flood watch expands to entire state. Latest forecast for nasty coastal storm.
The first half of the weekend is likely to be a washout in New Jersey with forecasters calling for 2 to 3.5 inches of rain, prompting a statewide flood watch, along with gusty winds that could lead to power outages. Most of New Jersey will get battered by wind gusts of 30 mph

The flood watch — which is not as urgent as a flood warning or flash flood warning — was issued at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday, will go into effect Friday night and continue through Sunday morning.

Rain will start after midnight. with multiple rounds of moderate to heavy rain likely from Saturday morning into the afternoon, the National Weather Service said. Rain will taper off Saturday night

-DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH STANDING WATER "TURN AROUND.DON'T DROWN"
-SECURE ANY OUTDOOR FURNITURE, DECORATIONS, GARBAGE RECEPTICLES.
-NEVER APPROACH ANY TREES LIMBS DOWN, THEY MAY CONTAIN LIVE ELECTRICAL WIRES.
-IF POSSIBLE, REMAIN INDOORS UNTIL STORM PASSES.
