Neighborhood Meeting on Crime Prevention A Success
Last night, approximately 25 residents from a neighborhood in South Brunswick met with officers from the South Brunswick Police Department to have a discussion about crime prevention. Officers spoke with community members in detail about how they could deter or prevent motor vehicle thefts and burglaries, and how to make their homes more resistant to intrusion.
Residents came away from the meeting with a greater feeling of empowerment and resiliency. Officers came away from the meeting with a greater awareness of residents’ concerns.
Chief of Police Raymond J. Hayducka said, “The best way for a community to combat crime is to prevent it. Informed residents are resilient residents, and we are happy to share information with our community in the hopes of preventing crime.”
