Monthly Nixle subscriber message

Hello Teton County, WY Nixle Subscriber,

First off, thanks for taking an important step towards your personal preparedness by signing up for Nixle. Information is power during a disaster, and registering for your local mass notification system is crucial. As you may know, in February of 2024 Teton County switched from Nixle to their parent company, Everbridge, as our primary alerting tool which we are calling Teton_WY Alerts. Nixle still exists as part of Everbridge, but it has fewer features and capabilities than Everbridge. You can stick with Nixle and still receive notifications, but Teton_WY Alerts powered by Everbridge lets you enter multiple emails and phone numbers, receive voice calls, register for weather alerts, manage your own profile, and more. Teton_WY Alerts also has the Public Safety by Everbridge app that lets you receive mobile push notifications and keeps all of your alerts organized in one place for quick reference.

You are receiving this periodic reminder message for one of the following reasons:

  1. You signed up for Teton_WY Alerts powered by Everbridge, but never unsubscribed from Nixle. You can (and should) unsubscribe from Nixle to avoid duplicate notifications. Text STOP to 888777 to unsubscribe and stop getting this periodic reminder. If you get a reply saying you're subscribed to multiple Nixle feeds, unsubscribe from the Teton_WY feed, or text STOP ALL to 888777 to unsubscribe from all Nixle feeds.
  2. You are a resident of or commuter to Teton County, WY and weren't aware of Teton_WY Alerts powered by Everbridge. In a web browser visit to get registered today and take advantage of Everbridge's enhancements. Once registered, text STOP to 888777 to avoid duplicate notifications and stop getting this periodic reminder.
  3. You signed up for Nixle temporarily, maybe on a trip to Jackson Hole, but never unsubscribed after you left. Just text STOP to 888777 to unsubscribe and stop getting this periodic reminder.
  4. You just like Nixle and don't want to switch to Teton_WY Alerts powered by Everbridge. In that case you don't need to do anything. You will still get notifications from Teton County Emergency Management, but you'll also keep getting this periodic reminder message that you can ignore.

Just a reminder to commuters, although Everbridge requires you to enter an address within Teton County, WY, it doesn't have to be your home address. You can list your work address, or simply the Town Square (10 E. Broadway, Jackson, WY). If you have any questions, email us at [email protected].

Thanks for being registered for our local mass notification system and helping to make Teton County, WY a more disaster-resilient community.
