Detective Billie Brown with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 18-year-old Carolyn Faith Norville with felonious Intentional Child Abuse Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury. Norville was issued a $500,000 secured bond.
Detective Brown also charged 20-year-old Bradley Steven Roper with felonious Neglecting Child Abuse Inflicting Serious Physical Injury. Roper was issued a $500,000 secured bond.
On January 8th, detectives took a report of the possible child abuse of an infant. A lengthy investigation led to the arrest of the parents of the infant on March 19th.
