Advisory

Weather Alert - Expect Heavy Rain this Weekend.

The Denville Office of Emergency Management and Police Dept continues to monitor the developing weather forecast for tonight into tomorrow.
Residents who live in flood prone areas should be aware of the possibility for flooding, monitor rising water levels, and be prepared to take necessary action should flooding occur.

While initial rain will arrive overnight, the rain of true concern arrives no earlier than midday tomorrow, and especially through the afternoon. The initial storm prediction total is 2 - 3+" of rain. Overall, the rainfall rates won't be terribly high which will keep road/poor drainage issues in the isolated category. It's more the totality of the rain that will be the issue leading to some issues on the more sensitive streams, creeks and rivers during the latter stages of the storm and into the first half of the night. Do not drive through flooded roads and prepare for road closures.  Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
