LOCATION: Navajo Road & Ottawa Road, Apple Valley, CA
VICTIM(S): 20-year-old female of Apple Valley, CA
22-year-old male of Apple Valley, CA
SUSPECT(S): Carl Young III, 25-year-old male of Apple Valley, CA
SUMMARY: On Thursday, March 24, 2024, deputies from Apple Valley Police Department were dispatched to a report of subjects brandishing a firearm in the area of Navajo Road and Ottawa Road in the town of Apple Valley.
Deputies from Apple Valley Police Department responded to the location. Upon arrival, a male subject ran from the area and into a nearby apartment. The subject, later identified as Carl Young III, was detained by deputies. Deputy D. Padilla investigated and learned the suspect, Carl Young III, had brandished a firearm at the victims and threatened to kill them.
Carl Young III was arrested for the above charges and was transported to High Desert Detention Center. Young is being held in lieu of $150,000 bail.
