#SantaAnaPD #PressRelease Fatal Traffic Collision –Vehicle vs. Motorcycle
On March 22, 2024, at 6:10 a.m., the Santa Ana Police Department received multiple calls regarding a traffic collision in the area of MacArthur Boulevard and Birch Street. SAPD Officers and the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) responded to the scene, where they discovered the collision involved a motorcycle and a vehicle. OCFA pronounced the motorcyclist, a male adult, deceased at the scene.
Based on the preliminary investigation, the vehicle was at the intersection of MacArthur Blvd. and Birch St. attempting to make a left turn. As the motorcycle traveled west on MacArthur Blvd., it collided with the vehicle. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation when police arrived.
At this time, it is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
