There is the potential for our area to see up to three inches of rain through tomorrow morning. Depending on the rate at which this volume may be realized, poor conditions could occur. Residents are encouraged to avoid unnecessary travel and monitor local weather conditions. We are currently under a flood watch through 8:00am tomorrow morning, with a wind advisory in effect from today at 2:00pm through 2:00am. A watch can quickly be upgraded to a warning. It is important to note there is a difference in severity between a watch, advisory, and a warning. 

The Fire, Police, and Public Works Departments are working today. If you need emergency assistance please call the Pelham Manor Police Desk at 914-738-1000 or 911 from a landline phone. Do not drive through flooded roadways! Obey any barriers that may be put in place. As the saying goes, turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Pursuant to the National Weather Service, most deaths occur in vehicles.
