Flood Advisory until 02:30PM

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central and northern New Jersey, including the following counties, in central New Jersey, Mercer. In northern New Jersey, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Morris and Somerset.

* WHEN...Until 230 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1128 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly across portions of the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected across the area through the afternoon hours. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Morristown, Somerville, Somerset, Edison, Old Bridge, East Brunswick, Bridgewater, South Brunswick, Sayreville and North Brunswick. - This includes the following highways... New Jersey Turnpike between exits 8A and 13. Interstate 287 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 53. Interstate 78 in New Jersey between mile markers 26 and 42. Interstate 80 in New Jersey between mile markers 25 and 48. Garden State Parkway between mile markers 121 and 134. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
