* WHERE...Portions of central and northern New Jersey, including the following counties, in central New Jersey, Mercer. In northern New Jersey, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Morris and Somerset.

* WHEN...Until 230 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1128 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly across portions of the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected across the area through the afternoon hours. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Morristown, Somerville, Somerset, Edison, Old Bridge, East Brunswick, Bridgewater, South Brunswick, Sayreville and North Brunswick. - This includes the following highways... New Jersey Turnpike between exits 8A and 13. Interstate 287 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 53. Interstate 78 in New Jersey between mile markers 26 and 42.
