* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central and northern New Jersey, including the following counties, in central New Jersey, Mercer. In northern New Jersey, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Morris and Somerset.

* WHEN...Until 430 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1238 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Morristown, Somerville, Somerset, Edison, Old Bridge, East Brunswick, Bridgewater, South Brunswick, Sayreville and North Brunswick. - This includes the following highways... New Jersey Turnpike between exits 8A and 12. Interstate 287 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 53. Interstate 78 in New Jersey between mile markers 26 and 42.
