* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of northern New Jersey, including the following counties, Hunterdon, Morris, Sussex and Warren and Pennsylvania, including the following counties, Berks, Bucks, Carbon, Chester, Lehigh, Monroe, Montgomery and Northampton.

* WHEN...Until 545 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 432 PM EDT, Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly across portions of the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Allentown, Reading, Easton, Newton, Bethlehem, Pottstown, Hopatcong, Forks, Emmaus, Wyomissing, Northampton and Hackettstown. - This includes the following highways... Interstate 78 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 7. Interstate 80 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 25. Interstate 176 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 1 and 11. Northeast Extension between mile markers 45 and 71. Interstate 78 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 10 and 76. Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
