Flood Warning until 10:30PM Saturday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northern New Jersey, including the following counties, Hunterdon and Somerset.

* WHEN...Until 1030 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 622 PM EDT, gauge reports indicated heavy rain. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - For Lamington River at Burnt Mills: At 5:45pm the stage was 11.07 feet and rising. Flood Stage is 11 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

* AFFECTED AREAS: HUNTERDON, NJ ... SOMERSET, NJ

Instructions:

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
