Subject Identified from Deep Woods Surveillance Video 
The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office has identified 29-year-old Tyler Messer of Marion as the subject from the surveillance video in the Deep Woods community early this morning. Messer has been taken into custody and charged with Assault by Pointing a Gun, 2 counts of Trespassing and 2 counts of Stalking. The investigation is continuing, and additional charges are anticipated. There is no ongoing threat to the community at this time. We appreciate the assistance from the community in this incident.
