Public Information for an upcoming Police Department Training Exercise
March 25th – March 29th, 2024 
 
The Crystal Lake Police Department wanted to make all local residents aware of training that will be conducted in collaboration with Crystal Lake Fire Rescue at Crystal Lake South High School during the week of March 25th - March 29th, 2024, between the hours of 12pm-4pm.  These dates coincide with D155’s spring break and therefore school will not be in session.
During these training exercises the school’s BluePoint System will be activated intermittently. As you may be aware, the system is designed to be activated when there is an emergency and police response is necessary.  You may hear these activations in your neighborhood during these scheduled training exercises.  We wanted to notify you in advance that the system will be activated for training purposes only and there is no threat or emergency to the school or the area during the period of activation.
We understand the activation of the BluePoint system during these training exercises may be inconvenient to some local residents.  Thank you for your patience as we conduct this valuable training with the sole purpose of the safety of our community in mind.
