...SNOW CONTINUES IN WESTERN MINNESOTA. SOUTHERN AND EASTERN MINNESOTA INTO WESTERN WISCONSIN HAVE TRANSITIONED TO RAIN, BUT WILL RETURN TO MIXED PRECIPITATION THEN SNOW TUESDAY MORNING... .Tonight, warmer air will keep rain as the dominant precipitation type for most. Areas in far western Minnesota will likely remain all snow. Colder air will move early Tuesday morning, causing a changeover back to snow and introduce mixed precipitation in the transition period. The transition will occur from west to east, with any icing potential on the leading edge. A few more inches of snow accumulation are possible. In western Minnesota, the main concern is for strong northwest winds mid-morning Tuesday to gust as high as 40 mph and cause blowing snow. The storm system will exit on Tuesday.
