Wilmington Police have arrested a man on drug charges.
On March 21, at approximately 9:56 a.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were in the 600 block of Taylor Street, when they observed a male subject engaged in drug-related activity. Officers made contact with 29-year-old Demetrius Jones, who was taken into custody without incident, and found to be in possession of .9 grams of crack cocaine, .091 grams of heroin, 23 Alprazolam pills, $340, and drug paraphernalia.
Jones has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Three Counts
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and was released on $3,500 unsecured bail.
