SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN’S Criminal Investigation Division investigates a cardiac arrest that took place in the jail.
The Clayton County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is currently investigating a cardiac arrest that took place in the jail today after an inmate had a medical emergency after a seizure resulting in death.
Clayton County Medical Examiner’s Office was contacted, and the family was notified.
On December 28, 2020, Driscoll was arrested for:
DUI LESS SAFE
SUSPENDED LICENSE
IMPROPER LANE CHANGE
On February 14, 2022, Driscoll was sentenced to serve 20 days in the Clayton County jail and do 11 months and 10 days on probation.
On July 25, 2023, a Violation of Probation arrest warrant was signed for Driscoll.
Driscoll was taken into custody on 03/17/2024 by Forest Park Police Department for:

FLEEING FROM POLICE
OBSTRUCTION OF OFFICER
SUSPENDED LICENSE
VIOLATION OF PROBATION
Driscoll went to court on his Violation of Probation and was sentenced to serve 4 months and 23 days in the Clayton County Jail with a release date of 08/01/2024.
Earlier today he suffered from a seizure and went into cardiac arrest. CPR was administered, and he was transported to Southern Regional Hospital by Clayton County EMS after extensive life-saving efforts. Dewayne Driscoll passed away.
