Today marks the 12^th Anniversary of the death of a Waldwick Hero Staff Sgt. Joseph D'Augustine, who died on March 27, 2012 serving our country, protecting our freedom.
 
Joe was a dedicated Marine who served his country and who wore his uniform with pride and honor. Joe served in the United States Marine Corps for 11 years. His tours included Iraq (2), Afghanistan (2), South Korea, East Timor and Okinawa.
 
Joe was stationed in many locations but most notably in Camp Pendleton and Camp Lejeune.
 
Staff Sgt. Joseph D’Augustine’s memory will live on in our hearts and we will never stop honoring him.

Staff Sgt. Joseph D’ Augustine gave his life so that we can have a tomorrow that is free.
 
On this 12^th Anniversary of his death, let us remember all the good that Staff Sgt. Joseph D’Augustine has done. Let us never forget his family, his heroism and his sacrifice.
