Detective Billie Brown with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 30-year-old Austin Kyle Benge with felonious Card Theft and felonious Financial Card Fraud. Benge was issued a $4,000 secured bond.
An investigation began on January 23rd when deputies took a report of a stolen debit card. Video footage from local businesses, where the card had been used and other evidence in this case led to Benge’s charges and subsequent arrest on March 22nd.
