Crime Blotter for the Week of March 17, 2024 – March 23, 2024

The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of March 17, 2024 – March 23, 2024.        
 
March 17, 2024

  • Burglary (Commercial):
2245 Huntington Drive (Homemade Donuts). On March 17, 2024 at 4:45 AM, suspect unknown, a male adult wearing a black hoodie, light colored pants, and a facial covering, shattered the front glass window and proceeded to enter the location when the victim yelled loudly. The suspect backed out and fled the location. Surveillance video is available.
 
  • Grand Theft:
900 Block of Oak Avenue. On March 17, 2024 at 3:45 AM, suspect(s) unknown stole the victim’s catalytic converter from his parked vehicle, a 2018 Toyota Tacoma. The loss was approximately $1,000. No surveillance video is available.

March 20, 2024
  • Grand Theft:
3400 Block of Fallcreek Road. On March 20, 2024 at 4:56 AM, suspect(s) unknown stole the victim’s catalytic converter from his parked vehicle, a 2008 Toyota Tacoma. The loss was approximately $3,000. Surveillance video showed a dark older model two door vehicle park alongside the victim’s vehicle while two occupants wearing all black clothing exited, removed the catalytic converter, and fled southbound out of view. 
 
March 21, 2024
  • Aggravated Assault:
1144 Huntington Drive (EZ Smoke Shop). On March 21, 2024 at 6:50 PM, suspect unknown, a heavy set male hispanic adult wearing black clothing and a LA Lakers hat, confronted the victim who had just exited the location while pointing a black handgun at her. The suspect stated, “Do you know where you are at? This is Eastside.” The suspect proceeded to retrieve a second handgun from a female Hispanic passenger of a white Mercedes Benz and pointed both guns at her. The suspect entered the white Mercedes and drove away. No surveillance video is available.

  • Protect your identity - Be cautious when giving out personal information such as your name, address, phone number, or financial information on the internet, make sure the websites are secure.
  • Avoid being scammed - Always think before you click on a link or file of unknown origin.  Don’t feel pressured by any emails.  Check the source of the message.  Never reply to emails that ask you to verify your information or confirm your user ID or password.
