Activity for March 27, 2024:
- Officers responded to the 100 block of South Mechanic Street for a breaking and entering report. A suspect has been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
- Officer Brooks and Cadet Richardson were dispatched to Sheldon Street and Griswold Street for a traffic crash. A 55-year-old male was arrested for possession of narcotic paraphernalia, and driving while under the influence of narcotics – 3rd offense.
- Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 300 block of Van Buren Street. A 24-year-old female was arrested for domestic assault.
- Officers were dispatched to South West Avenue and West Franklin Street for a vehicle that had just been stolen. Blackman Township officers observed the vehicle traveling near North West Avenue and West Argyle Street, and Sergeant Burkart responded to the area to conduct a traffic stop. The 31-year-old male driver was arrested for unlawfully driving away an automobile (possessing a stolen vehicle), and an outstanding felony warrant.
