Needles Teen Arrested for Weapons Charges After He Brandished a Firearm at a Passing Vehicle



DATE/TIME: Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at approximately 4:20 p.m.

INCIDENT: PC 417 - Brandishing a Firearm
PC 25850(A)(6) - Carrying an Unregistered Firearm
PC 25800(A) - Carrying a Firearm with Intent to Commit a Felony
CVC 23110(B) - Throwing Object at a Vehicle 

LOCATION: Q Street and Needles Hwy,  Needles, CA

SUSPECT(S): Charles Wynn, 18-years-old, Resident of Needles, CA

VICTIM(S): Confidential


SUMMARY: On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at approximately 4:20 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to the area of Q Street and Needles Hwy reference a report of a man brandishing a firearm.  When deputies arrived on scene, they located the suspect, matching the description, walking near the incident location and detained him without incident. 

During the investigation, it was discovered that Charles Wynn, along with five other juveniles, were seen throwing unknown items at a passing vehicle.  When the vehicle's driver stopped and honked at the group, Wynn brandished a firearm at the victim.

Charles Wynn was arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking.  Wynn remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $50,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
