Traffic Alert for Ashland’s Secretariat Day on Saturday, March 30, 2024 
The Ashland Police Department would like to advise the community to expect heavy traffic throughout the Ashland area Saturday, March 30, 2024, due to the Secretariat Day Celebration.
Motorists may expect heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., especially on England Street (Route 54) near Railroad Avenue and throughout Randolph-Macon College’s campus. Motorists should plan to take extra time travelling in and through Ashland.
Preferred parking for the Secretariat Day Celebration will be available north of the Secretariat statue site located at the intersection of England Street and North Railroad Avenue in the Randolph-Macon College campus area.
Motorists not planning to attend the Celebration may wish to consider Ashcake Road as an alternative.
