INCIDENT: FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION

On Friday, March 29, 2024, at about 5:40 AM, Pomona Police Officers responded to the area of Towne Ave and Bonita Ave. in reference to an injury traffic collision. Responding officers discovered that a vehicle had collided with a pedestrian. When emergency personnel arrived on the scene, they found an adult male pedestrian down in the lanes of traffic. The LA County Fire Department also arrived at the scene and began performing life saving measures. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital, where he pronounced deceased. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The driver was not intoxicated.
