High Wind Warning until 10:00AM Sunday
* WHAT...Southeast winds 40 to 50 mph with gusts up to 75 mph possible for the Hillside today. For the Anchorage Bowl, southeast winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph possible today. A second round of strong south winds will develop again after midnight tonight and continue into Sunday morning with wind gusts to 55 mph expected in the Anchorage Bowl.
* WHERE...Anchorage Hillside and western Turnagain Arm Saturday and the Anchorage Bowl late Saturday night into Sunday morning.
* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 10 AM AKDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...High winds may move loose debris, damage property, and cause power outages. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong southeasterly winds will develop Saturday morning and continue into Saturday evening. Strongest wind gusts will be felt along western Turnagain Arm and the Anchorage Hillside areas Saturday. A second round of strong southerly winds is expected to develop after midnight tonight and continue into Sunday morning across the Anchorage Bowl with south winds gusting to 55 mph.
