March 28, 2024:
- Cadet Smith responded to Third Street and Union Street for a hit and run accident.
- Detective Klimmer and Officer Fugate conducted a traffic stop near South Cooper Street and East Prospect Street. The 35-year-old female driver was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
- Officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute in the 300 block of Van Buren Street. A 48-year-old male was arrested for conditional bond violation.
- Officer Vernier responded to the 300 block of Steward Avenue for a suspicious situation report.
- Officer Hogan attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the area of North State Street and Homewild Avenue, but the vehicle fled. The 40-year-old male driver was taken into custody in the 300 block of North State Street; he was arrested for driving while intoxicated, and fleeing and eluding.
- Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of West Trail Street for an overdose. A 29-year-old male received medical treatment.
- Officer Fugate responded to the 1400 block of Merriman Street for a domestic dispute. A 33-year-old female was arrested for felonious assault, and multiple conditional bond violations.
- Officer Bean was dispatched to East Louis Glick Highway and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive for a hit and run accident.
- Officer Morse made contact with subjects in the 200 block of West Mason Street. A 48-year-old male was arrested for resisting and obstructing, and an outstanding felony warrant.
- Sergeant Thoresen conducted a traffic stop near West Michigan Avenue and North West Avenue. The 60-year-old male driver received citations for possessing open intoxicants in a motor vehicle, and driving with a suspended license. He was arrested for conditional bond violation.
- Officer Goings responded to the 200 block of North Wisner Street for an assault report. A 48-year-old male was arrested for conditional bond violation.
- Officers responded to the 100 block of East Washington Avenue for a warrant pick-up. A 24-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
- Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of West Prospect Street for a disorderly subject. A 43-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
- Officer Tripp conducted a traffic stop at Cooper Street and Leroy Street. The 26-year-old male driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
- Officers responded to the 1200 block of South Jackson Street for shots fired. Casings were located in the area.
- Officer Panther attempted to conduct a traffic stop near Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Prospect Street, but the driver fled. The 29-year-old male driver was arrested for driving while under the influence of narcotics; fleeing and eluding; and multiple outstanding felony warrants.
- Officer Simon was dispatched to an overdose in the 300 block of Mitchell Street. A 57-year-old male was transported to the hospital.
- Officer Simon responded to the 300 block of West Franklin Street for a breaking and entering report.
- Officers were dispatched to East Morrell Street and Orchard Place for a vehicle abandoned in the roadway. Multiple firearms were located in the vehicle. Officers made contact with the driver who admitted to concealing and possessing the firearms. Charges for carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a prohibited weapon will be sought on the 26-year-old male subject.
- Officers responded to the 1500 block of Cooper Street for a subject who appeared to be unconscious in a vehicle. The 43-year-old male driver was arrested for driving while under the influence of narcotics.
- Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of West Trail Street for a possible overdose. A 23-year-old female received medical treatment.
