* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, southeast, and west central Illinois, including the following counties, in central Illinois, Christian, De Witt, Logan, Macon, Mason, McLean, Menard, Piatt, Sangamon, Shelby and Tazewell. In east central Illinois, Champaign, Clark, Coles, Cumberland, Douglas, Edgar, Moultrie and Vermilion. In southeast Illinois, Clay, Crawford, Effingham, Jasper, Lawrence and Richland. In west central Illinois, Cass, Morgan and Scott.

* WHEN...From 3 PM CDT this afternoon through Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of thunderstorms are possible through early Tuesday afternoon. Over two inches of rain will be possible, with higher amounts in localized areas. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
