Chevron CWS Level 1 Notification - Flaring - 4/01/2024 
At 4:08pm today, 4/01/2024, Chevron issued a CWS Level 1 Notification due to flaring at the Richmond refinery during planned maintenance activity. Chevron reported no offsite releases and that flaring has stopped.
Based on Contra Costa Health's 3-tier hazmat severity system, CWS Level 1 notifications have no public health impacts and require no action from the community.
